Therefore, the interview schedule has been reopened. The Dallas Independent School District's Alternative Certification Program is seeking persons who are not education majors who are interested in teaching. Dallas ISD is looking for 200 persons to train in the summer of 2010 to become classroom teachers in the areas of Elementary Bilingual; Math & Science (middle & high school). Beginning teacher salary is $44,350.
They are looking for persons with the following qualifications:
Degree: Bachelor's degree to be conferred by August 15, 2010.
GPA: 2.5 overall and in the subject area.
Middle and high school teaching require 24 semester hours in the respective subject areas.
