Dallas ISD Alternative Certification Program

9 A.M. – 4:30 P.M.

The Dallas Independent School District's Alternative Certification Program is seeking persons who are not education majors who are interested in teaching.

Dallas ISD is looking for 200 persons to train in the summer of 2009 to become classroom teachers in the areas of Elementary Bilingual; Math & Science (middle & high school). Beginning teacher salary is $44,350.


They will be interviewing in the Career Services Office on Friday, February 13 from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Call the Career Services Office at 940-898-2950 by 5 p.m. on February 10 to sign up for an interview and bring a copy of your resume to the interview.

They are looking for persons with the following qualifications:
  • Degree: Bachelor's degree to be conferred by May 31, 2009
  • GPA: 2.5 overall and in the subject area
  • Middle and high school teaching require 24 semester hours in the respective subject areas.

Payment Deadline - TODAY!

If you have already registered or if you register today, (November 3, 2008 to January 13, 2009) you must pay by today (January 13, 2009) by 5 p.m. Unpaid schedules will be deleted.

You can pay one of two amounts:
1. The whole bill
2. The minimum payment if you are doing the installment agreement. REMEMBER: You must make the minimum payment and accept the payment plan to be enrolled in the payment plan.

Remember - do this by 5 p.m. or your schedule will be deleted!!!

When you Need to Pay for Classes

Hello TWU Distance Learners!

I hope you are enjoying your Winter break so far. School starts in two weeks and I want to make sure you all know when you have to pay so that your schedules don't get deleted. Here are the payment deadlines. If you have any questions, please contact the Bursar's Office nearest you:

If you register:

November 3, 2008 to January 13, 2009
Payments must be received by 5 p.m. January 13, 2009
Unpaid schedules will be deleted.


January 14-16, 2009
Payments must be received by 5 p.m. January 16, 2009
Unpaid schedules will be deleted.


Late Registration ($50 Late Fee Assessed) January 20-23, 2009 by 5 p.m.
January 23, 2009 by 5 p.m.


Installment Due Dates
Students can enroll in the payment plan during these payment periods as well. Please remember that if you choose to pay in installments, you must make the minimum payment and accept the payment plan according to the above deadlines for each phase. Billing Statements and Automated Reminders will be sent by email prior to installment due dates.
Payments must be received by 5 p.m.


The remaining payments are due on the following days by 5 p.m.:
