ALTERNATIVE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

The Dallas Independent School District's Alternative Certification Program is seeking persons who are not education majors who are interested in teaching.
Dallas ISD is looking for 200 persons to train in the summer of 2009 to become classroom teachers in the areas of Elementary Bilingual; Math & Science (middle & high school). Beginning teacher salary is $44,350.
They will be interviewing in the Career Services Office on Friday, February 13 from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Call the Career Services Office at 940-898-2950 by 5 p.m. on February 10 to sign up for an interview and bring a copy of your resume to the interview.
They are looking for persons with the following qualifications:
- Degree: Bachelor's degree to be conferred by May 31, 2009
- GPA: 2.5 overall and in the subject area
- Middle and high school teaching require 24 semester hours in the respective subject areas.
