Career Exploration Class: Find Your Career Direction

The Office of Career Services would like to announce the Spring 2009 semester offering of The Psychology of Career Exploration & Development, a 3-hour elective course offered by Career Services through the Psychology Department. The course assists students with exploring careers, selecting a major, developing career planning skills and includes an introduction to the job search process.

Offered: Tues/Thurs from 2:30 to 3:50PM
Prerequisite: 2nd Semester Freshman or beyond
Course Code: 14762
You must enter the code for this course in the ‘Express Registration’ section of the registration process. The course prefix is PSY, the course number is 4913, and the section is 01.

The Career Services Office will host its Fall Education Career Day next Friday, November 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Hubbard Hall. Over 60 school districts are expected to participate. Visit for a list of the school districts that have registered thus far, as well as the majors they are seeking.

Bring copies of your resume to distribute and remember that business professional attire is required!

TWU/UNT Annual Child Welfare Conference

"CPS Achieving Outcomes: Safety, Well-being and Permanency"

Join us at University of North Texas for the 4th annual UNT/TWU Child Welfare conference on November 21, 2008 from 8:15 am-4:30 pm.

The theme for this conference is "CPS Achieving Outcomes". Conference will focus on CPS achieving outcomes for children and families in Texas. A variety of perspectives regarding CPS' accountability will be presented by CPS, legal as well as the consumers, the children and the parents. Our keynote speaker, Scott McCown is a dedicated advocate for children and families in Texas. Not only has he served as an honorable judge in Travis County, Texas, but currently as the executive director of the center for public policy priorities. See conference program for more details.

* Students in Social Work and related fields
* Child Advocates...and anyone interested in Child Welfare and Child Protective Services!

Continuing Education Credit
