The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs is offering a seminar on SPSS and Excel to researchers (faculty and graduate students) on Thursday, March 13, 2008, from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm on the Denton campus. This seminar will be especially useful to those with limited experience in research methods, SPSS, and Excel. The 1.5 hour seminar will provide helpful tips on database management, SPSS use with Excel, research design and methods.
“Tricks of the trade” will be shared that can save time and headaches for individuals relatively inexperienced in research. Simple techniques can prevent many later problems in areas, such as research design, file importing, statistical analysis, and manuscript preparation.
Graduate students may attend this seminar. Space is limited so please email Rene Paulson (firstname.lastname@example.org), by Tuesday, March 11, if you plan to attend. We look forward to seeing you there!
