Due Dates for the 2012 Student Creative Arts and Research Symposium

Don't forget! Abstract forms for presentations at the 2012 Student Creative Arts & Research Symposium are due Thursday, February 23, 2012. The Symposium will be held Tuesday, April 17, and Wednesday, April 18, 2012.

All undergraduate and graduate students can participate by submitting an abstract/artist statement for a visual arts exhibit or a poster, platform, or virtual presentation. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to develop confidence and skills in presenting your creative arts and research to others. It is also an opportunity for you to converse with faculty and fellow students about research and creative activities. You may request oral, poster, or virtual presentation formats for research. Again this year we will fund student poster preparation so that students have opportunity experience preparation for professional conference presentations.

For more information regarding the Symposium and for all application materials and forms, visit www.twu.edu/research/student-symposium.asp.

Clean out your email inboxes

You might be missing out on some important announcements! The Office of Distance Education as well as other support units send out periodic emails to students. Several messages have recently been returned saying that the recipient's inbox is full. If this is you, you are for sure missing out on what's happening here at TWU.

Take a few minutes to delete old emails that you no longer need - and don't forget your sent folder! It takes up room too.

If you have questions on how to do this, please contact the TWU Helpdesk at 940.898.3971.
